Mzuzah Convergence Fellows

The Mzuzah Convergence supports leaders to advance community-driven impact. Launched in 2017, the program brings together leaders who have emerged from—or are working in lockstep with—historically excluded communities in order to cultivate connections and benefit from interactions with each other and c-suite executives from different industries. From 2017-2020, the program supported over 1750 next generation leaders from 8 countries to attend the program. Selected and supported by Mzuzah and its program partners, each cohort of Convergence Fellows represent Africa, USA, Asia, the Middle East, and Tribal Nations. We intentionally curate fellows to include social entrepreneurs and innovators, connectors, storytellers, and movement activists.

ConnectioN-DRIVEN IMPACT

We believe in the power of weaving regional networks and connecting a wide spectrum of change leaders. Mzuzah Convergence fellows represent communities often missing from global stages and philanthropic circles. As we explore changing the Sustainability narrative across emerging countries especially Africa, it critical to gather leaders who both experience and are solving pressing challenges across these regions.

We also recognize the challenges and barriers of navigating funder and partner spaces. The Mzuzah Convergence Fellowship provides an avenue to remove some aspects of the financial and navigational barriers of attending the program. Beyond ensuring communities from across the globe are represented in Mzuzah conversations, we cultivate opportunities for Mzuzah fellows to share lessons, explore partnerships, and connect with peers to advance personal and organizational growth.

Mzuzah fellows receive complimentary convergence invitations and visa support.  We do not cover travel and accommodations. Cohorts participate in Mzuzah orientations, programming during the Convergence, and other collaborations beyond the gathering.
